The successful candidate will also be a source of vision and expertise related to DCAF’s work in the North Africa region, including under its Trust Fund for North Africa (TFNA).\n\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\n- Strategic planning, design, implementation and coordination of DCAF’s Libya program under the One DCAF approach;\n- Identification and development of new and existing entry points in DCAF’s engagement in Libya;\n- Conduct regular analyses on the operational environment, challenges and opportunities;\n- Contribute to the development and execution of research and knowledge development efforts;\n- Lead high-level dialogues and stakeholder engagement;\n- Take the lead on relevant proposals and support donor relations;\n- Prepare background summaries, talking points, presentations and other documents as requested.\n- Represent DCAF at external events as appropriate.\n- Monitor the developments in the Libyan context to inform management engagement decisions, including on the methodologies of work in Libya and DCAF’s presence in the country.\n\n## Your experience\n\n- Minimum of 7 years of experience, with a track-record of achievements in the fields of peace, security, or related, of which at least 2 years working directly in\u002Fon Libya and the wider region, preferably in a field related to DCAF’s mandate;\n- Proven ability to translate emerging opportunities into SSG\u002FR-related programmatic interventions and activities;\n- Expert-level knowledge of DCAF’s areas of expertise (SSG\u002FR) and mandate;\n- Proven ability to sustain follow up on programme implementation, impact, learning and reporting;\n- Experience in managing external partnerships;\n- An advanced degree in development, security, international relations, business management, public administration or other relevant area of studies;\n- Proven ability to communicate, negotiate and work with high level executives, government officials, and non-governmental and multinational organisations;\n- Ability to work in a multicultural environment successfully and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes;\n- People management skills and demonstrated team player abilities;\n- Excellent English, with knowledge of Arabic an advantage;\n- Strong planning, coordination and analytical skills;\n-
