If you are highly organised, pro-active, results-driven and collaborative, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality learning experience for our participants, beneficiaries, and partners, you may be our future:\n\n## Junior Professional Officer - Executive Education department\n\n### _Full-time_  \n_The position is based in Geneva_\n\nThe Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) is offering a full-time position, to a recent graduate in international relations, politics, business administration or a related field (or who possesses relevant vocational qualifications and project management experience). This position will be specifically dealing with courses, projects and clients and will include coordinating courses and visits, assisting with internal and external communication and reporting activities and providing overall administrative support to the Executive Education Department.\n\nUnder the supervision of the Director of Executive Education, the **Junior Professional Officer**, works closely with colleagues within the department and cooperates with other internal stakeholders, including the Director’s Office, GCSP’s Programmes, and other support services such as Administration, Finance, ICT, and Human Resources.\n\n## Responsibilities\n\n- Provide administrative and logistical support to activities within the Executive Education Department such as proposals writing, budgeting and client management;\n- Coordinate courses and visits including make presentations;\n- Establish and maintain documentation and databases, ensure project documentation is up to date and accurate;\n- Prepare updates, reports and contribute to internal communication;\n- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues, participants and clients in a professional manner that reflects the values and aims of the Centre.\n- Support tracking and monitoring of partnership and funding opportunities.\n\n## Additional duties\n\n- Lead the monitoring and reporting of course impact and client satisfaction by collecting and analysing feedback, tracking agreed KPIs, and producing actionable insights to support continuous improvements.\n- Management of learning platforms (experience with CLANED, Teach-up, Miro, SurveyMonkey, Padlet etc. is highly appreciated).\n- Contribute learning design expertise to proposal development and course pitches, supporting the preparation of high-quality, client-specific concepts, materials, and presentations.\n- Facilitate cross-departmental projects: ensure executive education initiatives align with broader organizational goals and leverage internal expertise; organize communities of practice.\n- Collaborate with the marketing and communication team by contributing pedagogical content, course insights, and learning innovation inputs to support promotion and outreach activities.\n- Provide mentoring, guidance, and practical support to internal staff and course teams in learning design, digital learning tools, and relevant business development processes.\n\n## Required Education\n\n- A university degree in an area related to business administration, international security, law, social sciences or political science.\n- Ideally 1–2 years of relevant experience with MENA clients, customised courses\u002Fprojects, sales or project management;\n- An experience in events management and\u002For hospitality environment would be a real asset; experience in the MENA region is highly valued;\n- Experience in an international or multicultural environment is an asset.\n\n## Desired skills\n\n- Fluency in spoken and written English is required;\n- Fluency in Arabic; Writing and reading skills required;\n- Great communication and interpersonal skills;\n- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications: Word, Excel, Teams & Outlook;\n- Flexible, with a positive attitude;\n- Strong organisational skills and detail-oriented;\n- Ability to multi-task;\n- Reliable, proactive and motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively;\n- Ability to interact with colleagues, partners and customers from diverse professional sectors and cultures; respect for diversity;\n- Interest and understanding of the non-profit sector.\n\nIf you see yourself undertaking this exciting opportunity, we are eager to receive your full application file (cover letter and CV) on [email protected] **20 May 2026 COB**.\n\nThe successful candidate will be expected to take up the position at the earliest mutually convenient date.\n\n## Application Process\n\nDue to Swiss employment regulations, only candidates with Swiss\u002FEU citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland will be accepted.\n\n_Applications should include:_ \n\n1. **A comprehensive curriculum vitae** giving details of relevant achievements in recent posts as well as your education and professional qualifications.\n2. **A cover letter** that summarises your interest in this post, providing evidence of your ability to match the criteria outlined in the job description.\n3. **Notice period and names of two referees**, together with a brief statement of the capacity in which they have known you and an indication of when in the process they can be contacted (please note we will not contact your referees without your expressed permission).\n\nWe sincerely thank all applicants for their interest.
