The role will prioritize platform administration, user support, and process automation, while laying the groundwork for long-term digital architecture in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role will also contribute to sub-objective 2.2 of our 2030 Organisational Strategy.\n\nAdditionally, the Digital Transformation and Innovation Specialist (DTIS) will have a functional oversight of the IMPACT IT team, composed of two staff members, including being responsible for building, securing, and maintaining the organization’s overall IT environment.\n\n## KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n**_Operational Digital Transformation_**\n\n- Administer and optimize key platforms (e.g., Jira, Power Platform, SharePoint, HR\u002FFinance systems).\n- Provide hands-on support for platform integration, user access, and troubleshooting.\n- Develop and maintain APIs and operational data pipelines to ensure seamless system interoperability.\n- Respond to immediate user needs and ensure continuity of digital operations.\n\n**_Change Management & User Enablement_**\n\n- Lead change management initiatives to support the adoption of new tools and workflows.\n- Design and deliver training, documentation, and user support materials.\n- Foster a culture of digital literacy and innovation across teams.\n\n**_IT Management_**\n\n- Act as functional manager of the IT team (composed of two senior officers)\n- Ensure the organization’s overall IT environment is properly maintained and secured.\n\n**_Strategic Digital Architecture & SaaS Innovation_**\n\n- Design scalable application architectures aligned with business needs.\n- Evaluate and implement SaaS solutions that balance innovation with resource constraints.\n\n**_AI Integration Strategy (support role)_**\n\n- Support the development and execution of AI integration strategy for operational functions.\n- Coordinate with Programmes, Communications and Research Division (PCR) to clarify the role in research-related data and AI initiatives.\n- Ensure that data-driven tools and platforms are aligned with organizational goals and capacities.\n\n**_Data Governance & Compliance_**\n\n- Implement data governance frameworks in collaboration with data protection focal points.\n- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies.\n\n**_Team Structure & Collaboration_**\n\n- Operational support: Currently no dedicated support staff; the Specialist will be hands-on in platform administration.\n- Programme\u002FResearch interface: Coordinates with Programmes, Communications and Research Division (PCR) to define boundaries and contributions to research data strategy.\n\n## REQUIREMENTS\n\n- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field\n- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in digital transformation, software development, or IT systems engineering\n- Strong hands-on experience developing, administering, and integrating enterprise platforms (in particular with Microsoft Power Platform but ideally also with e.g. Jira, SharePoint, HR\u002FFinance systems)\n- Proven programming experience, including:\n- SQL for data querying, modelling, and performance optimization.\n- Scripting and development in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.\n- Design and consumption of RESTful APIs and system integrations.\n- Experience building and maintaining operational data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflow automations.\n- Experience in Azure & Ninox is desirable\n- Solid understanding of cloud-based and SaaS architectures, authentication\u002Fauthorization, and application security is desirable\n- Experience managing and securing an organization-wide IT environment, with functional oversight of IT staff is desirable\n- Experience leading change management initiatives, including user training and technical documentation is desirable\n- Working knowledge of data governance, data protection, and privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR)\n- Familiarity with big data and AI concepts, with experience supporting data-driven initiatives in operational contexts\n- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\n- Fluency in English required; French is an asset\n\n## COMPENSATION & BENEFITS\n\n- For this position, gross salary between 5’891 CHF and 5’957 CHF monthly (before income tax). NB – IMPACT salaries are strictly determined by our salary grid depending on the grade of the position and the level of education and experience of staff.
