BACKGROUND\n\nThe Principles for Peace Foundation (P4P) is an independent Geneva-based organisation that seeks to reset how peace is built, measured and supported. Guided by the Principles for Peace, P4P works along two strategic pillars. The first pillar focuses on country accompaniment. P4P supports governments, national actors and coalitions to design and implement legitimate and inclusive peace arrangements and reconciliation processes. The second pillar focuses on global architecture and tools. P4P develops and deploys methodologies, including peace games simulations, incubation spaces, and the Peace Navigator, an AI powered measurement platform, and uses them to inform policy, decision making and practice. P4P operates as a nimble, high performing team that works in a consulting style talent pool. Staff are organised into task teams under the leadership of thematic leads and work across assignments rather than in fixed silos.\n\n## 2. The role will involve working closely with P4P teams and partners to ensure continuity between high-level international engagements, such as those taking place in New York and Geneva, and ongoing activities in Somalia. The advisor will also support the practical organization of program-related events, including stakeholder coordination, facilitation support, and follow-up, as well as travel and logistical arrangements related to visas, security, and transportation. Programme and Operational Support\n - Support the organisation and facilitation of programme-related events, including agenda-setting, stakeholder coordination, and follow-up.\n - Provide practical support for travel and logistics, including visa facilitation, security considerations, and local transportation, in coordination with relevant partners.\n- 4. Continuity and Follow-up Across Contexts\n - Ensure continuity and coherence between discussions and commitments made at international events (e.g. in Geneva or New York) and ongoing activities and engagements in Somalia.\n - Support tracking of key decisions, action points, and next steps to ensure effective follow-through.\n- 5. Other, Miscellaneous Tasks\n - Miscellaneous tasks that may reasonably emerge during the assignment and are related to the scope of the project.\n\n## 4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\n\nP4P is seeking an organization or individuals with the following profile:\n\n- Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in Political Science, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Development Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n- Demonstrated expertise in Somali politics, governance, and policy processes, with strong understanding of federal–state dynamics and the role of international actors.\n- Proven experience providing political and policy advisory support to international organizations, governments, or civil society actors.\n- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership facilitation, including working with government counterparts, civil society, and international partners.\n- Experience supporting the organization of high-level events and missions, including coordination, follow-up, and logistical arrangements.\n- Familiarity with international policy processes and diplomatic fora (e.g. Geneva, New York) and the ability to connect high-level discussions to country-level programming.\n- Excellent analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to translate political analysis into practical recommendations.\n- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams, including operational and logistical tasks.\n- Ability to work independently and with discretion in politically sensitive environments.\n- Languages – Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Somali is a strong asset.\n- Discretion – High level of discretion, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.\n\n## 5.
