The officer also evaluates biodiversity credit schemes to verify they produce credible, measurable outcomes aligned with IUCN programme targets.\n\n## Main Responsibilities\n\n### Portfolio Technical Development\n- Lead the development and adoption of IUCN RHINO, especially via the Investor Impact Track.\n- Evaluate emerging credit frameworks (e.g. IAPB, BCA) and ensure alignment with IUCN metrics and standards.\n- Develop private sector proposals leveraging IUCN tools for Nature Positive outcomes.\n- Support work on relevant IUCN Resolutions, including those addressing biodiversity credits and offsets.\n- Promote IUCN tools: RHINO, STAR metrics, NbS Standard, and IBAT.\n\n### Project Management\n- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to private sector partners.\n- Ensure timely project delivery in line with annual workplans.\n- Coordinate across IUCN teams on joint implementation.\n- Supervise consultants for effective delivery and standards compliance.\n\n### Capacity Building & Communications\n- Promote knowledge sharing through events and communications.\n- Develop training programmes for private sector adoption of IUCN tools (with the IUCN Academy).\n- Represent IUCN at relevant conferences and platforms.\n- Build partnerships and support fundraising efforts.\n\n## Requirements\n\n- **Education:** Master's degree in Sustainability Management, Sustainable Finance, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Economics, or a related field.\n- **Experience:** Minimum 8-10 years overall, with at least 5 years in industry (e.g. finance) or consulting in a biodiversity-related role.\n- **Specialist knowledge:** Extensive experience with biodiversity credits and offsets, including the strengths and weaknesses of credit platforms and mechanisms.\n- **Technical tools:** Understanding of IUCN standards including RHINO, STAR metrics, and IBAT or equivalent scientifically reputable tools.\n- **Finance \u002F disclosure landscape:** Practical experience with frameworks such as TNFD, CSRD, ESRS, SBTN, GRI, EUDR, ESG, and sustainable finance principles.\n\n## How to Apply\n\nApply via the [IUCN HR portal](https:\u002F\u002Fhrms.iucn.org\u002Firesy\u002Findex.cfm?event=vac.show&vacId=11727&lang=en).
