Job Title: MEAL Consultant
Department: Programmes
Duty Station: Remote (within ±6 hours of Geneva time)
Line Manager: Impact Analyst
Timeframe: Approximately 6 months (early start preferable)
Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a dynamic, international non-governmental organisation. We work with people affected by violent conflicts to enhance their security and dignity through Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP). We work to reduce violence, protect civilians in countries affected by violent conflict and its aftermath, and help transform the world’s response to conflict situations.
NP is currently establishing its country programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and scaling up operations in Sudan, while continuing established programmes in contexts such as Myanmar, South Sudan, Iraq and Ukraine. Across these locations, NP works to strengthen the safety and security of conflict-affected communities through Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP).
NP centres local communities in preventing violence and promoting positive peace. NP programming focuses on building capacities within local communities to engage in nonviolent self-protection methods such as protective accompaniment and presence, community-led safety and security initiatives, conflict de-escalation techniques, and early warning/response mechanisms.
The MEAL Consultant is to lead on the operational and IT setup of integrated digital data systems for both the Sudan and DRC country programmes, ensuring that MEAL data can be collected, stored, and accessed through reliable digital workflows.
The consultant will also support other NP country programmes (e.g. Myanmar, South Sudan, Iraq and Ukraine) by adding digital tools and technical components to their existing MEAL systems. Working closely with country teams and the Global Programme Team, the consultant will help standardise indicators, refine data input tools, and implement technical solutions for data capture, storage, and analysis compatible with NP’s existing global platforms.
A key component of this consultancy will be to design and implement the integration between Kobo Toolbox and Salesforce, ensuring smooth data flow, compatibility, and analytical capacity. The consultant will develop a work plan for the consultancy period in collaboration with country programmes and other relevant stakeholders for their participation, engagement and clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
This is a remote consultancy.
The consultancy is expected to last approximately six months (December 2025 to May 2026), with an early start preferred. The level of engagement (full-time or part-time) will be determined based on the consultant’s expertise, proposed daily rate, and available budget.
Applicants are encouraged to indicate their proposed level of effort (e.g. estimated number of days per month) and day rate in their application.
Candidates meeting the above requirements are requested to submit their proposal and a cover letter (max. 1 page), through our website detailing their experience and how they qualify for the Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The closing date for applications is 30th November 2025.
Candidates may be selected before the closing date; apply early.
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a technical assignment before participating in an interview.
